I was in desperate need of a home quickly due to personal circumstances, preferably living by myself. The home was advertised as a studio, so I showed interest. In reality, it was a tiny room with a slanted roof and its own bathroom in a shared home of 6. The room, including the bathroom, was 10 m². The kitchen was shared and there was no living room. The location was great but not enough to justify almost €600 in rent. I was in need, so I took the offer.

Huurfix contacted me and while at first I was sceptical about the company and the process, I decided to get in contact with Jan. After legalising the partnership with a contract I felt comfortable with the work. Jan is very professional, quick responses, honest and transparent about the process and what needs to be done, involving and updating me always.

Jan was able to find that I was paying about €128 a month too much, as the Huurcommissie, the Dutch rent tribunal, confirmed. That added up to €1,308.71 that the landlord had to pay back to me. I am planning to buy a beautiful gift for my girlfriend with this money.
