I lived in a 42 m² flat in Leiden, on the top floor of a canal house. It started with a dispute about the service charges: suddenly I had to pay extra for the energy bill, while I never got anything back when I had paid too much. I didn’t know whether any of that was right, let alone how to resolve it. It caused me a lot of stress.

Then I called in Huurfix. That was an enormous relief. After an introductory conversation I was reassured: it would turn out fine and I was within my rights. From that moment on, all communication went through Huurfix and I no longer had to deal with it myself. That gave me a tremendous sense of calm.

In the end there turned out to be much more going on than just the service charges: my rent was far too high as well. Huurfix took everything on and even went to court for me. My rent was found to be too high and was reduced, and in the end I received €4,000. I no longer had to worry about anything.
