Rotterdam

Sam moved to Rotterdam in 2023 to rent a 17 m² room for his studies, but the reality fell far short of what he’d expected. After he moved out, he found Huurfix, which reviewed his case for free and was clear from the start about what was possible. He ended up getting €6,327.30 back. "More than I could have ever imagined."

Back in 2023, I found a room on a rental website and moved to Rotterdam to finish my studies. When I arrived, the reality was a very unpleasant surprise: the 17 m² room was far from how it had been presented online, and the months that followed only added to a stay that became genuinely unbearable.

Once I’d moved out, I wanted to do something about it. That’s when I came across Huurfix and realised I had the chance to ask for a rent refund. Huurfix reviewed my case quickly, free of charge, and was clear from the start about what could be done.

Thanks to Huurfix, I got €6,327.30 back, more than I could have ever imagined. I’d definitely recommend Huurfix to anyone struggling with their current accommodation.
